Process

A four-step method.

Every Forma & Co engagement moves through the same four phases. The pace varies with the project; the discipline does not.

01

Discovery

We begin in the room, not on the page. We spend time on site — measuring, listening, watching the light — and in conversation with everyone who will use the space. This phase produces a brief, not a design.

02

Concept

A single, committed direction. We present one concept, not a menu of options — a coherent point of view on material, plan, and light, defended in a short document that becomes the reference for every decision that follows.

03

Development

Drawings, samples, prototypes. Every finish is specified, every fixture chosen, every custom piece dimensioned. We coordinate directly with the architect, contractor, and trades so the interior is built, not layered on.

04

Delivery

Installation is a curated event, not a delivery day. We are on site through the final placement of art, textiles, and objects — and we return in the months that follow to see how the space is being lived in.

The pace is deliberately slow. It is what allows the finished space to feel — after the last box is unpacked — as if it could not have been done any other way.
